There are several challenges and restrictions that Portuguese exporters face in the global market. Maybe some of the main ones?

Limited market access: Despite the existence of trade agreements between Portugal and various countries, some markets still maintain high tariff barriers that limit Portuguese exporters' access to those markets.
Lack of scale: Portuguese companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), often lack the scale and resources to compete with larger global companies in terms of pricing and marketing.
Logistics: Portugal's geographic location on the periphery of Europe can make logistics challenging, and transport costs can be high. This can be a particular issue for certain products, such as those with short shelf lives or high transport costs.
Bureaucracy: Exporting can involve a significant amount of paperwork and bureaucracy, which can be time-consuming and costly for businesses, particularly smaller ones.
Limited digitalization: Some Portuguese companies may lack the technological infrastructure and expertise to take advantage of digital marketing and e-commerce platforms, which are becoming increasingly important in international trade.
Language barriers: Portuguese is not widely spoken outside of Portugal and some parts of Brazil, which can create communication challenges for Portuguese companies seeking to do business in other parts of the world.
These challenges may highlight the importance of targeted strategies and partnerships to help Portuguese exporters overcome these barriers and succeed in the global marketplace.
